It’s with mixed emotions I am writing this. Over the past three years we have grown so much not only as small business owners but also in our personal lives. We are so thankful for all the relationships that we have formed through Made Collective, and we have loved being a part of the handmade and sustainable goods community. Alison and I have decided to close Made Collective. We want to thank all of you for supporting our business and many like ours. . . The GOOD NEWS is, you can’t get rid of us that easily. Alison will continue to make things and sell them through @studio651 and @etsy. She loves to make and is gifted with creating beautiful practical and sustainable goods. I (Stephanie) am a dreamer and full of new ideas, but I am trying to ground myself as I raise two little boys. I will be focusing on slow living (in all forms), homeschooling, and maybe a few side projects. We will be keeping Made Collective’s Instagram feed to post about Alison’s projects and some lifegiving ideas we want to share. . . We believe now more than ever that supporting local businesses, sourcing domestic goods as a small business owner, and learning to live with less needs to become our new normal. We never imagined that slow living would be forced upon us like this but as we navigate this new reality we hope we can use it to create better habits and continue to grow. We can’t emphasize enough the importance of supporting small business owners at this time. Especially those that are transparent with their supply chain. We hope everyone is giving lots of patience to those around them and taking only what they need. We love all of you so much and look forward to the next phase of our journey. As we move through unpredictable times with things changing daily it seems. We wanted to offer some hope and joy to those in our community! We were originally planning to do a pop-up with Fourth Line Flowers this month along with some other events, but things change. As we look around spring is still coming and the flowers are still going to bloom. A promise of things to come. Kristen has lots of flowers ready and we want to help bring them to those around us.
